While the majority of family caregivers say their role has given them a sense of purpose, itās no secret that caring for an aging loved one comes with many challenges.Ā
Whether navigating insurance, coordinating care, or running errands, it may feel like your caregiving to-do list is never ending.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated these challenges.Ā
With heightened safety measures for seniors living at home, limited access to basic necessities, and general disruption to everyday life, caregiver stress is at an all-time high.
While resources for caregivers of older adults are becoming more widely available, navigating and using these resources can feel like a job in and of itself.
Thatās why we started Hank, a new service that gives you easy access to affordable, reliable caregiving help from the comfort of your home.
Here are three ways Hank provides immediate relief to overworked family caregivers.
1. Hank takes the guesswork out of caregiving with customized Care Plans
The transition to family caregiver can be stressful and confusing.Ā
What starts off as running a few errands here and there can quickly turn into a patchwork system of caregiving to-dos that become increasingly difficult to manage.
Sometimes itās difficult to know where to start when looking for help. Thatās why we work with you to understand your older adultās care needs as well as the caregiving support that you need.
Whether itās meals, transportation, or help around the house, Hank will create a personalized Care Plan that gets your loved one the help they need while staying within budget.
Getting a Care Plan is easy and commitment free. After completing our simple survey, Hank recommends tasks that we can do to help.
Weāre currently able to provide:
- Hot meal delivery
- Grocery delivery
- Transportation
- Home maintenance and chores
Weāll review the Care Plan with you to make sure it meets your older adultās needs. You can add, remove, or edit tasks until the plan is perfect for your situation.
When you approve your Care Plan, weāll take care of these tasks so you can focus on more important things, like your own well-being and spending time with your loved one.

2. Hank automates recurring tasks to save your time and energy
We know family caregivers are exhausted.
There are now more than 11 million āsandwichā caregivers in the United States who are caring for both an older adult and a child. Of those, 67% are employed.
When caregivers are overloaded with responsibilities, it can be difficult to keep track of recurring to-do items and time-consuming to take care of them.
Hank makes sure these tasks get done by creating an automated schedule that works best for you and your loved one.
For example, letās say you need a hot meal delivered to your older adultās house every Wednesday at 5pm. Simply place the order once on a weekly recurring schedule and weāll handle it from there.Ā
With Hankās help, youāll never have to worry about simple tasks falling through the cracks.

3. Hank is easy to use for both caregivers and seniors
In recent years, caregivers have turned to technology to make their lives easier.Ā
Task management apps and tech gadgets can be great additions to a family caregiverās toolbox.
But for some seniors, learning to use new tech devices can be frustrating.
Thatās why Hank is easy to use no matter what kind of phone is used or how comfortable you are with technology.
Call, text, or use our website to place orders or schedule tasks ā whichever works best.
When you place an order, weāll keep you and your loved one in the loop with text reminders and delivery updates.

I am disabled with no money, except the disability check I receive, which isnāt enough for additional costs. I have been told my my neurosurgeon and pain management doctor that I canāt do the housework or lift over 10 pounds. I canāt cook, because it hurts too much, so nutrition is an issue as well. My house is starting to look like a hoarderās house. My Christmas tree is still up and today is the first of May. I have taken the ornaments off but I canāt put the tree away. I have had 5 back surgeries. My son lives out of state and works making very little money. If this service was free, then I could be helped. If not, I understand that nothing is free. So, itās like society throws away seniors!
