Thank you and goodbye

Thank you and goodbye to the DailyCaring community!

Update 1/24/25: We’ll be keeping the site available until February 15th.

Update 1/20/25: THANK YOU for all your heartfelt messages of thanks and good wishes via email, our website, and on social media. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and by the sheer volume ā¤ļø Though we aren’t able to respond to everyone, please know that we deeply appreciate the thought, effort, and time it took to write such lovely messages.

Hello DailyCaring community,

We have some difficult news to share.

After much consideration, we have decided to close down DailyCaring.

Despite our best efforts, there was no other way forward.

The path of entrepreneurship is unpredictable, and while we’ve had many wins since starting DailyCaring in 2014, we’ve also faced tough challenges that led us to where we are today.

We want to thank every family and professional caregiver who has trusted us with your questions and shared your experiences. It’s been a privilege to serve this community.

We also give thanks to the senior care colleagues and industry partners who have been part of our journey.

We’re grateful to have shared our senior care advice, tips, and resources with over 22 million website visitors, nearly 75,000 daily email subscribers, and over 22,000 social media followers.

Your support and engagement have meant the world to us.

We have sent our final daily email newsletter and will miss being in your inboxes every weekday.

The DailyCaring website will remain available through February 1, 2025 February 15, 2025.

Until then, please use the website to print (or save as PDF) all the articles you wish to save using the “Print This Article” button at the bottom of each article.

Thank you and goodbye ā¤ļø

We wish you all the best,
Connie Chow and Brian Yu

    Dear Connie and Brian,
Thank you for providing this wonderful resource for so many years. It has been a great help to me as I deal with middle stages of Alzheimerā€™s with my mother.
Might you consider monetizing your website to keep this treasure trove of much needed advice and expertise available to so many who have gained support from it? I would pay $5/month for continued access. Itā€™s actually worth more than that to me for all the help youā€™ve been. Iā€™m sure others would be willing to pay a subscription too, even if there are no new articles forthcoming, especially those of us who are also in healthcare professionally who are able to pass along your site to others in great need of learning how to navigate this stage in our lives as caregivers and to ease the challenge for our elders.

This was my favorite website regarding care giving. It was so helpful. As others have expressed, I am so sad that it will not be here. My mother passed away several years ago, but I would still share the website with other care givers. And now, as I have taught students to become certified nursing assistants on a community college campus, I have referred to the website again for teaching ideas and thoughts to share with others about caring for people with dementia.

I am so very sorry to see this website go away. It always had a lot of very helpful information. I learned a lot while I was a caregiver for my mother and mother in-law. I was able to inform my friends about the website, telling them about things I learned. The website is easy to use, because the links we provided and I did not have to do a search throughout the Internet.
Taking care of someone with Alzheimer or Dementia is totally different than a person who does not have this terrible illness. I will truly miss the Daily Caring….
Thank you very much for being there for my mother, mother in-law and mostly for me, the caregiver.

This is absolutely disappointing! I’ve been an Activities Director for 4 yrs and your morning updates were part of my every morning routine. Your help, resources and education is much appreciated and very valuable. Sad to hear this….

I am so sorry to see you go. You’ve been such a help to me as a caregiver and as the leader of a Dementia Caregiver Support Group. May God bless you in your next chapter.

Thank you so much for all the compassion & info you gave to all of us over the years who took care of a family member in so many ways. I took care of my mom for many years & your insight & suggestions gave us hope when there was little support & know where else to get the answers we needed. May your on going journey & lives be filled with love for all youā€™ve done for us! You made me believe we are on this earth to take care of each other! šŸ’ž

Thank you for all the wonderful articles. I don’t know what I would have done had I not found your website. It has helped me care for both my mother and her partner as well as my brother-in-law who all went through this challenging disease. Your website helped me adjust my perspective and to find the joy in supporting my family members with love and respect. I feel blessed to have been able to support and care for them with the help of your informative and thoughtful articles.

Your website has been very helpful for me as a caretaker for my elderly father over the past several years. This is very sad news and information that will be missed by those that search for support in managing dementia and Alzheimer’s care for their loved ones.

I’m so sorry to see your website and Daily Caring emails come to an end. When I found your site some years ago, I was the caregiver for my wife who had Alzheimer’s Dementia. Your daily emails and articles helped me so much during the long battle.
My wife passed away from Dementia 2 and half years ago, but I continued to read your emails and articles and always found them to be very helpful. I wish all the best to you as you move on to new adventures. Again, Thank You So Much!

Iā€™m so sad, I give this website out to people almost daily. I love the way you handled the daily emails. This has been an amazing resource, thank you so much for all you did and whatever you continue to do.

Shocked the website is also closing down. I can understand closing the daily emails but I will dreadfully miss it and the community forum. Ever day I learned something helpful for me as a caregiver. Thanks for what has been a needed resource.
